Cause

If you have Auto-Update enabled, your JRE 1.6 version will be updated to JRE 7. This will cause Oracle forms to crash or to have an unexpected behavior.
  • This may happen as early as July 3, 2012.
  • This will definitely happen after Sept. 7, 2012, after the release of 1.6.0_35 (6u35).
Oracle Forms is not compatible with JRE 7 yet.  JRE 7 has not been certified with the Health Sciences products yet. Oracle Health Sciences Forms Based Applications (e.g. Oracle Life Sciences Data Hub (LSH),  Oracle Healthcare Transaction Base (HTB), and Oracle Health Sciences Clinical Development Analytics Plus (CDA) that is based on LSH) which use the JRE 6 and run on top of EBS 12 will stop working after upgrading to JRE 7.
If the JRE Release gets upgraded to Release 7 via Java ' Auto Updates' then the FRM-92095 error will appear when logging in.
In case of Oracle Life Sciences Data Hub (LSH) application, you will not be able to log in to Oracle Applications Forms using the steps described in the section "How to Log In to Oracle Applications Profile Forms" in the Oracle Life Sciences Data Hub System Administrator's Guide.  The following LSH functionality which uses Oracle Forms screens related to security, to run the post-installation jobs or to set up user accounts or functional roles will be affected:
  • Setting Profile Values;
  • Setting Up Printers;
  • Creating and Assigning Oracle Applications Responsibilities;
  • Accessing concurrent manager;
  • Post installation program execution.

Solution

The following steps have to be performed in order to avoid this problem:

1. From the Client end users desktop Windows machine,  uninstall JRE Version 7 as per documented steps.

2. Once JRE 7 has been de-installed then either re-install the previously installed version of JRE 6 or get the latest version of JRE 6 Standard Edition which can be downloaded from here. Also, Java 6 Update 7 comes with the EBS 12.1.3 server, and it can be installed when attempting to access the Lookups forms page for the first time.

3. Retest the issue.
4. Ensure that JRE updates are done manually by unchecking the "Check for Updates Automatically" button under the Java Control Panel.
    See urgent bulletin for Background Information: All E-Business Suite End-Users Must Manually Apply JRE 6 Updates

5. Migrate the solution as appropriate to other environments.

NOTE :
Also see 'ALERT: Do not upgrade to JRE 7. End-Users Must Manually Apply JRE 6 Updates' for background information.
