Symptoms

FRM-41839 Disk I/O error on temporary record buffer file is seen when File > Export is done on Journals > Enter form.

Cause

The export functionality has a limitation to the amount of data that can be exported.  In this case the number of records identified were 120000.  Export cannot work for such a huge amount of data as that would consume all system resources.

Solution

Use the find window or enter-query and construct a query that returns just the records you need.  Running a query that potentially returns 100,000 rows and using "last record" functionality to find the record you want will result in poor performance.
