STEP I: Set TCP/IP Connections
Go to Network Connections:
(N)Desktop
> My Network Places > Right Click on this and Select Properties

Local Area Connection > Click Properties

Select Internet Protocol TCP/IP > Click Properties > Select use following
IP for this as Eg:10.15.232.23
Add
additional Network Connection:
(N)Start
Menu > Setting > Control panel > Select Add Hardware

STEP II: Create New User to access Oracle

> My Computer > Right Click on this and Select manage

Local Users and Group > Click on Users >

Click on this and Create New User as applmgr
and enter password as applmgr
Then
select applmgr > right Click on it and select properties
Select
Member of tab > click on Add > Click on Advanced > Click on Find
Now
Click on OK
> Click on OK > Click Apply > Click OK
STEP III: Name Computer System
(N)Desktop
> My Computer > Right Click on this and Select Properties

Computer Name Tab > click Change
> Click more

Enter oracle.com as
Primary DNS Suffix of this Computer.

Installation of Pre-requisite Software
Step-1: Install Visual C++ 2005

setup.exe > Click Next >
Select
Full option

path for install as D:\MSVC2005

Install> (this installation takes
about approx. 20 min time)

Step-2: Install CYGWIN

will not include all the necessary files)

Expand Devel Select third option (Skip) just single Click on it to make it applicable for Install.

Next > Click Next (here CYGWIN is getting installed into your system)

Step-3: Configure Environment Variables
(N)Desktop
> My Computer > Right Click and select Properties
Select
Advanced Tab > Click on Environment Variables button
Under
System Variables > Select Path > Click on Edit button >
At
end of variable value type ;D:\CYGWIN\bin
> Click OK
Under
System Variables > Select TMP> Click on Edit button >
At
end of TMP variable value type ;D:\TEMP >
Click OK > Click OK > Click OK
To
check the path is set properly
Go
to Start Menu > Run > type cmd
and Click Enter >
In
command window type set path > (there u will find in path C:\CYGWIN\bin is added)
Exit
from Command window.
Step-4: Update Compatibility with Shell Scripts
Type these commands to maintain compatibility with existing shell scripts:
